YIN
YIN Jewelery is a handmade jewelry brand based in Sweden. The designer Lin explores sensation and perception by unfolding or closing space through her design. This series of photography aims to polish her concepts with my own languages.
The visual languages were discussed with image board in the first stage. Then the designer gave me a lot of space to explore freely with my own reflection from her works. To me, it is more like re-interpreting project, which might inspire the original designer in return as well.

Never seen a ring flowing like this, like water, like sand. It seems fragile but holds my finger with softness, firmly.
When I take it down, it is free, dancing with the shape of fabric.

The ring has a delicate string connecting the half circle. With both the soft and hard, this ring is flowing, fitting your finger. Just like the shadow shaped by the surface, praising the subject humbly, and subtly.

The sundial tells the time with the shadow. With those earrings, you move, you stay, you are high but sometimes low, you create your own shadow, and that reflects your own time.

The shape of the ring is simple, but with the surface perpendicular to your finger, it becomes deep multi-dimensionally. The shadow is used to illustrate this characteristic, extending to somewhere unknown.

The surface of these earrings reminds me of the moon, but with two orbiting. Waxing and waning. Shaping and completing each other with their shadows, just like lovers.
