Flow
During the Internship in ndd design in 2012, I designed a lighting to interpret the theme “FLOW” in Taiwan Designers’ Week with bamboo, considering about the possibility of mass production.

The bamboo cutting pieces are put together consciously to express the power of nature. Through the light going through the sharp edges of the bamboo, we can experience the combination of art and industry.
The challenge is to create an unique beauty of craft but develop a process to achieve mass production. Because of the uncontrollable material, bamboo, we still have to produce it by people. However, we standardized the manufacturing process and made it more simple to duplicate the inrregular shape.
