Board Game Design

The Privilege Game

Based on focus groups’ input with different social backgrounds and ages, Gothenburg-based artist/curator collective, Globala Tanter (Global Aunties in Swedish) has been developing a concept and sketch of an activity as a board game. The concept is called “The privilege game“, and hopes to inspire people to examine their life circumstances by putting themselves in others' shoes.

Collaborating with Globala Tanter, I designed the visual communication for this board game. By applying the geometric shapes and colors, the game was visualized with a playful but still neutral tone.

The graphic of the map transformed the things from daily life to the abstract shapes, which  aimed to unspecified the context for a wider range of audience.

The colors of the character cards depicts the diversity of skin color in the society. There is no same colors, everyone is different and should not be categorized.
